The CSRPI assesses a child’s social-emotional strengths and weaknesses; elicits information about a child’s inner thoughts and feelings; and identifies emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal concerns in a child.

Eight individual components encompass nonverbal projective, verbal self-report, and verbal projective methods.
Two self-report measures have optional nonverbal response formats.
Sentence completion items reflect self, school, family, and peer domains.
Projective, gender-specific story cards depict family-, self-, school-, and peer-related scenes.
Two drawing and two coloring tasks allow for nonverbal expression; 20 clinical variables are suggested for interpretation.
